As a lawyer practising Belgian administrative law in a wide sense, Marie Vastmans specialises in the following fields: constitutional law, including litigation before the Constitutional Court, administrative law and litigation, including litigation before the Council of State, and in particular the law of public contracts; public health, in particular the law relating to pharmaceuticals and hospitals, planning and environmental law, civil service law, education law and the law relating to foreigners.

She has been a lawyer at the Brussels Bar since 2000.

She has been recognised by the French Bar association of Brussels as a specialist in public, constitutional and administrative law.

She holds a law degree, specialising in public law and administrative law from the Université Libre de Brussels (2000), and a diploma in specialist studies in public law and administrative law from the same university (2003).

She has also received training under the Advanced Community Law Training Programme at the College of Europe (2005).

In addition to her legal activities, she runs training courses at the non-profit making organisation ESIMAP (centre for study, services and information concerning public contracts).

She also contributes to the review “Public administration”, specialising in public, constitutional and administrative law.

She practises in French.
